Wilderness Trail by Kelley Brugh
36x48, Oil on canvas

Kelley Brugh’s creative journey began at a young age and took flight in college where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She continued to develop her artistic talent as a student at the Lorenzo de Medici School in Florence, Italy. After college, Kelley became the first Artist in Residence at Braitman Studio in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kelley’s paintings are defined by her bold, expressive brushwork. Her painting style has been described as impressionistic with a contemporary edge. While trained in a number of fine art mediums, Kelley is drawn most to the versatile medium of oil paint. She beautifully captures a unique energy in her artwork through an emphasis on light, purposeful brushwork and interesting color relationships. Kelley is a process driven painter,  more interested in the creative method of building a painting rather than the final product. Kelley studies under nationally renowned artist and mentor Andy Braitman. She continues to create artwork for galleries, events and private commissions and has exhibited her artwork in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Concord, Matthews and Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Kelley is also currently employed at Braitman Studio as an oil painting instructor. In addition, she teaches workshops around North Carolina for beginning, intermediate and advanced artists. Kelley enjoys creating artwork as a professional artist and sharing her passion for art with others through teaching.
